About Medical Money

Medical Money is a set of calculators and short explainers for Australian doctors. You type a figure. The browser applies a dated public table. The result is a sketch, not an assessment.

It is for medical students, doctors in training, and doctors working in public hospitals or private practice in Australia. It is not a site for patients, and it is not a fund, a bank, or a college.

General information only. Nothing here is personal financial advice, tax advice, or legal advice. We can’t tell you what to do with your own pay, debt, or super. A licensed adviser and a registered tax agent do that.

Sources are chosen from the official document: the ATO, Study Assist, a state revenue office, a health department instrument, APRA, or ASIC MoneySmart. The page that supplied a number is linked next to it, with a date. If that page is gone and there is no replacement for the same document, the link comes off and the page says so. We do not fill a gap with an undated summary from another website.

The site is independent of hospitals, colleges, super funds, banks, and card issuers. Some book links are Amazon affiliate links. An advertisement, if one is on a page, is labelled and sits outside the number.
